Knappstein Enterprise Winery — A Century of Clare Valley Terroir
Knappstein, a century-old winery, crafts pure and elegant Australian wines that faithfully express the terroir of Clare Valley.
At the southern tip of Kyushu, Japan, stands an ever-active volcano — Sakurajima. It is not only a symbol of Kagoshima but also one of nature’s grandest miracles. For centuries, layers of lava and volcanic ash have accumulated to form thick strata a natural filtration bed that slowly guides rain and melted snow deep underground, where they rest and refine for decades in silence. Tianshen Water is born from this sacred land’s subterranean spring, flowing from more than a thousand meters beneath the earth.
Unlike ordinary groundwater, the porous volcanic rock of Sakurajima acts as a “natural laboratory.” As rainwater seeps through the layers, it undergoes a long process of mineralization and purification, removing impurities while infusing balanced trace elements. This gives Tianshen Water its uniquely smooth, clean, and delicate texture pure yet full of subtle depth.
Sourced from an aquifer over 1,000 meters deep, Tianshen Water has been tested by Japanese laboratories with a TDS of 116, classified as a soft mineral water with refined taste, ideal for daily consumption. Its natural weak alkalinity helps balance the acidity of modern diets, making it a gentle and health-friendly choice. These figures stand as a scientific testament to its exceptional quality.
The rarity of Tianshen Water lies in its inimitable origin. Sakurajima’s unique geological veins make this source one of the world’s rarest natural purification zones. We add nothing, enhance nothing — only collect and bottle through strict, hygienic processes, preserving water in its purest and most authentic form. Each bottle of Tianshen Water is the crystallization of centuries of nature’s quiet cycle.
In Eastern philosophy, water symbolizes life and wisdom. Tianshen Water is more than a drink — it is a dialogue between human and earth. When you open a bottle, you taste not just freshness, but the volcano’s energy, the patience of time, and the gentle spirit of the land itself.
