The plums are sourced from Xinyi Township, Nantou — known as “The Homeland of Plum Wine.” Its mountain climate and pristine water produce plums with thick flesh and vivid acidity, hand-harvested to ensure flawless quality. The base spirit is made from Nantou rice alcohol and fine Taiwanese sugar, then matured with spring water from Sakurajima Volcano in Kagoshima, Japan. The result is a clean, rounded, and soft-bodied finish.
Using a low-temperature, long-term infusion method, the natural plum acids slowly integrate into the spirit. During maturation, longan wood is gently charcoal-roasted,infusing the wine with subtle smokiness, light caramelized tones, and a mineral finish. This fusion of charcoal roasting × slow maturation represents one of Tianshen’s most innovative crafts in traditional plum winemaking.Each batch undergoes multi-stage sensory testing and precise temperature aging,resulting in a smooth, aromatic, and elegantly smoky plum wine.
